Business Development Manager – Oil & Gas (Downstream & Midstream)

About the role

We are looking for a Business Development Manager with deep knowledge of the downstream and midstream oil & gas sector in Nigeria. The role focuses on generating new opportunities, building strategic client relationships and driving revenue growth for the company.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within downstream and midstream oil & gas.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, industry stakeholders and decision‑makers.
• Design and execute sales strategies to meet revenue targets.
• Conduct market research to spot emerging trends and potential customers.
• Prepare and deliver proposals, quotations and commercial presentations.
• Manage the sales pipeline and follow up on leads promptly.
• Negotiate contracts and commercial terms in coordination with internal teams.
• Represent the company at industry meetings, networking events and conferences.
• Produce regular reports on business development activities and performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or HND in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience in business development or sales within the oil & gas industry, specifically downstream and midstream.
• Strong understanding of the Nigerian oil & gas market and commercial dynamics.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation abilities.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Port Harcourt.
