Business Development Manager – Healthcare

About the role

The Business Development Manager will lead the development and execution of growth strategies for the African Medical Centre of Excellence (AMCE) in Abuja, driving new opportunities, partnerships and revenue streams in the healthcare sector.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct in‑depth market research, analyse trends and assess feasibility of new service lines and expansion initiatives.
• Develop and implement strategic plans to attract donors, partners and high‑potential clients.
• Generate leads through research, commercial meetings and cold calls, converting them into profitable collaborations.
• Manage risk, ensure data quality and monitor credit quality in line with AMCE policies.
• Prepare and present financial reports on revenue growth, partnership acquisition and ROI.
• Analyse patient volume, satisfaction and competitive performance to inform strategic decisions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Economics or related field; MBA preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, marketing or sales, preferably in healthcare or a regulated industry.
• Strong understanding of market research, competitive analysis and business growth strategies.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder‑management abilities.
