Business Development Executive

About the role

The Paper Packaging Company (TPPC) is seeking a Business Development Executive to drive growth of its sustainable paper packaging solutions in Lagos. The role is full‑time and on‑site, focusing on identifying new opportunities, managing a sales pipeline and building lasting client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and qualify new business opportunities in target market segments.
• Generate leads through research, outreach and networking activities.
• Conduct client meetings, presentations and product demonstrations.
• Prepare proposals, quotations and negotiate contract terms.
• Maintain and grow relationships with existing accounts, gathering feedback to improve offerings.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align solutions with customer needs.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and industry developments to inform sales strategy.
• Support revenue targets by managing a structured sales pipeline.

Required profile

• Proven experience in new business development and lead generation.
• Strong business acumen and understanding of sustainable packaging solutions.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
• Account management experience with B2B clients.
• Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Analytical, data‑informed decision‑making ability.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Lagos and travel locally for client visits.
• Genuine interest in sustainability.
