About the role
The Business Development Executive will drive growth for the bank by mobilising deposits, acquiring customers, managing relationships and supporting loan generation across Lagos State. The ideal candidate will combine strong business development capabilities with a proven track record in achieving financial and operational targets in the banking or micro‑finance sector.
Key responsibilities
- Identify, develop and convert new business opportunities for the bank.
- Drive deposit mobilisation and liability generation initiatives to support business growth.
- Market and promote the bank’s products and financial solutions to individuals, SMEs, corporate clients and other target markets.
- Build and maintain long‑term relationships with new and existing customers to ensure retention and expansion.
- Achieve assigned deposit mobilisation, revenue generation and portfolio growth targets.
- Conduct daily field marketing, business visits, customer engagement and market activation activities.
- Source quality loan opportunities and support customer onboarding processes.
- Develop strategic marketing plans to increase the bank’s market share and customer base.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities and customer needs to provide strategic business insights.
- Ensure excellent customer service delivery and prompt resolution of complaints and inquiries.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, marketing activities and business development performance.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly business development and performance reports.
- Participate in sales campaigns, promotional activities and community engagement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with the bank’s policies, operational standards and regulatory requirements.
Required profile
- Minimum 3–5 years’ relevant experience in business development, deposit mobilisation, sales or marketing within a financial institution or micro‑finance bank.
- Proven track record of achieving deposit mobilisation, customer acquisition and revenue targets.
- Strong understanding of retail banking, financial products and micro‑finance operations.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, sales and relationship‑management skills.
- Ability to work independently and perform effectively in a target‑driven environment.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Good presentation and reporting capabilities.
- High level of professionalism, integrity and a customer‑focused mindset.
- HND/B.Sc in Marketing or a related field.
