Business Development Associate – Lagos

About the role

Petrok Engineering Services Limited is seeking a proactive Business Development Associate to support its growth in the energy sector. Based in Lagos Marina, the role focuses on identifying new market opportunities, engaging prospective clients, and assisting senior managers in securing contracts.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct market research to identify potential clients, target industries, and new revenue streams.
• Perform cold outreach via phone, email, and social media (e.g., LinkedIn) to engage decision‑makers and schedule introductory meetings.
• Assist senior business development managers with client presentations, proposals, contract drafts, and follow‑ups.
• Maintain and update client interaction records in the CRM database to ensure accurate forecasting.
• Partner with sales, marketing, and product teams to align messaging and deliver seamless onboarding for new clients.
• Track industry trends, monitor competitor activities, and share actionable insights with the team.

Required profile

• Minimum BSc degree.
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar business development or sales role.
• Proven ability to conduct market research and generate leads.
• Strong communication skills for outreach and client interaction.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.
