Business Developer – Oil & Gas

About the role

We are looking for a Business Developer to drive growth within the Oil & Gas sector for Kenex Konsults International. The role focuses on identifying new opportunities, building client relationships, and delivering proposals that convert prospects into long‑term partnerships.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities in the Oil & Gas industry.
• Build and maintain relationships with oil companies, contractors, service providers and other stakeholders.
• Generate leads, prepare proposals, quotations and company profiles, and present them to prospective clients.
• Monitor market trends, tenders and contract opportunities to inform strategy.
• Participate in client meetings, industry events, conferences and networking activities.
• Develop and implement business development strategies to meet revenue targets.
• Collaborate with technical, operations and management teams to design client‑focused solutions.
• Maintain accurate records of leads, prospects, proposals and opportunities.
• Negotiate commercial terms and support the contract acquisition process.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of proven business development or sales experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
• Strong knowledge of the Nigerian Oil & Gas market and its key stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation and relationship‑management abilities.
• Demonstrated track record of generating leads, winning contracts and achieving targets.
