About the role
The Momentum Support Initiative is seeking a dedicated Board Director to provide strategic guidance and governance oversight. This volunteer position is remote and part‑time, supporting the organization’s mission to empower marginalized communities across Nigeria.
Key responsibilities
- Participate in virtual board meetings and contribute to strategic decision‑making.
- Review and advise on organizational plans, policies, budgets, and program designs.
- Support fundraising, partnership development, and resource mobilization efforts.
- Mentor youth leaders and represent the initiative at virtual events and stakeholder engagements.
- Ensure transparency, accountability, and ethical standards in all operations.
Required profile
- Experience in nonprofit governance, strategic planning, or organizational leadership.
- Knowledge of public health, human rights, gender‑based violence, or socio‑economic development in African contexts.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, advocacy, and community mobilization abilities.
- Commitment to equity, inclusion, and the mission of TMS Initiative.
- Prior board or advisory experience is an advantage but not mandatory.
