About the role

Plan International is looking for an experienced consultant to lead a baseline study for the Akelius Project in Nigeria. The study will support the organization’s education and monitoring‑and‑evaluation objectives, providing a solid evidence base for programme design and impact measurement.

Key responsibilities

Design the methodology and tools for baseline data collection aligned with education and M&E standards.
Coordinate field activities, including surveys, interviews and focus groups, ensuring data quality and ethical compliance.
Analyse quantitative and qualitative data to generate baseline indicators.
Prepare a comprehensive baseline report with findings, recommendations and data visualisations.
Present results to Plan International staff and stakeholders.

Required profile

Proven experience in conducting baseline or similar studies, preferably in the education sector.
Strong understanding of monitoring and evaluation frameworks.
Ability to work independently and manage timelines.
