Auxiliary Nurse

About the role

The Auxiliary Nurse will work alongside the pharmacist to provide courteous patient support, basic clinical observations, and efficient pharmacy operations. This full‑time, onsite position is ideal for an entry‑level candidate eager to start a career in healthcare.

Key responsibilities

• Greet patients and customers, record vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, blood glucose) where trained.
• Assist the pharmacist with prescription preparation, documentation, and workflow management.
• Provide friendly customer service, direct non‑clinical inquiries, and refer medical questions to the pharmacist.
• Support stock handling: receive, label, organize, and conduct stock checks, reporting discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate patient and pharmacy records while ensuring confidentiality.
• Uphold hygiene, safety, and infection‑prevention standards in the work area.

Required profile

• Entry‑level candidate with up to 12 months of relevant experience.
• Ability to take and record basic vital signs after appropriate training.
• Strong commitment to patient privacy, dignity, and confidentiality.
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with pharmacy staff.
• Attention to detail for documentation and stock management.
