Auditor – Financial & Operational Audits

About the role

Castel Resources is seeking a diligent Auditor to lead internal audits of its financial and operational activities. The role involves evaluating control effectiveness, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting continuous improvement across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct internal audits of financial and operational processes.
• Evaluate internal controls and risk management systems.
• Review financial statements, transactions, and supporting documents for accuracy.
• Identify irregularities, control weaknesses, and recommend improvements.
• Prepare comprehensive audit reports and present findings to management.
• Monitor implementation of audit recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in inventory audits and asset verification exercises.
• Assist external auditors during statutory audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor's Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in auditing or accounting.
• Professional certification such as ICAN, ACCA, ACA, or CIA is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of internal control systems and auditing principles.
• Excellent analytical, report‑writing, and investigative abilities.
• High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting software.
