Associate Scientist-Chemist

About the role

We are seeking an Associate Scientist‑Chemist to join our research team in Port Harcourt. The role supports the development of new and improved chemical products and processes for the global energy industry, working under the guidance of senior scientific leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Learn and follow the chemical hygiene plan and HSE laboratory safety standards.
• Conduct routine research and experiments as directed by Scientific Leaders and Team Leaders.
• Apply scientific theories and principles to develop and improve products, processes, and procedures.
• Document experimental work, results, and designs in laboratory notebooks and reports.
• Communicate findings and respond to client needs when required.
• Participate in professional societies and contribute to knowledge sharing.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree in Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Entry‑level experience or strong academic background in chemistry or related fields.
• Ability to work under direct supervision and follow safety regulations.
