Associate Medical Officer – Primary Care

About the role

Reliance Health is seeking an Associate Medical Officer to join its Reliance Family Clinic team in Nigeria. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality primary care, counseling patients of all ages, and supporting innovative health service improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Provide quality patient care: examine patients, order tests, develop treatment plans, and write notes and prescriptions promptly.
• Educate and counsel patients in plain language, promoting healthy habits and ensuring understanding of home care instructions.
• Collaborate with nurses, pharmacists and other clinicians to coordinate care, share referrals and support new staff training.
• Participate in health program improvement by tracking clinic performance, supporting community health checks and collecting data for reports.
• Maintain professional conduct by safeguarding patient information, adhering to clinic rules and medical ethics, and arriving on time.

Required profile

• MBBS or MBChB (or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
• 0‑1 year post‑NYSC experience with a valid Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria license.
• Completed NYSC with discharge certificate or exemption.
• Residence within 10 km of the assigned clinic location.
