About the role

The Assistant Dispatch Manager will coordinate and oversee loading and dispatch activities to ensure timely and efficient operations while adhering to standard processes and procedures. The role focuses on optimizing delivery planning to prevent customer stockouts and maintain smooth logistics operations.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate loading and dispatch activities in line with standard processes and procedures.
• Monitor customer schedules and proactively plan deliveries to prevent stockouts.
• Supervise and manage the dispatch team to prevent zero‑value transactions.
• Engage registered transporters for truck allocation and optimise fleet usage.
• Minimise internal and external demurrage for dedicated trucks through efficient scheduling.
• Prepare and submit daily delivery loadout reports for tracking and analysis.
• Notify corporate and dealer customers, as well as the sales team, about deliveries.
• Ensure strict compliance with safety rules and regulations in all dispatch activities.
• Evaluate dispatch performance metrics and implement continuous‑improvement strategies.
• Train and develop team members to enhance their skills and efficiency.
