Assistant Cost Controller – Hospitality (Lagos)

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Assistant Cost Controller to join our finance and hospitality team in Lagos. You will work closely with the Cost Controller to monitor, manage and optimise operational costs across Food & Beverage and other hotel departments.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in daily, weekly and monthly physical stock counts, reconciliations and inventory management.
• Monitor recipe costing, update menu pricing and integrate data with the POS system.
• Support month‑end closing by preparing journals, conducting variance analysis and generating cost reports.
• Review purchase requisitions, invoices and purchase orders to ensure compliance with budgets and internal controls.
• Identify operational inefficiencies and recommend cost‑saving strategies across departments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Hospitality Management.
• 2–4 years of experience in cost control or auditing, preferably within hospitality or F&B.
• Strong analytical ability with a keen eye for detail and discrepancy resolution.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with operations, purchasing and kitchen/housekeeping teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with hospitality software such as OMEGA, OPERA, Supy, Adaco or FMC.
