Asset Relationship Manager

About the role

The Asset Relationship Manager will drive new business opportunities, manage loan portfolios and build strong client relationships for the company in Abuja.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities to increase revenue and market share.
• Generate leads and acquire businesses in loans and investment.
• Implement business development and marketing strategies.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
• Assess creditworthiness of potential clients and recommend credit facilities.
• Prepare and deliver compelling business proposals to attract new clients.
• Contribute to growth strategies by identifying emerging market trends and opportunities.
• Oversee the loan portfolio to ensure timely repayments and minimal default rates.
• Research and identify new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products, and services.
• Monitor accounts under management and apply sound credit judgment to reduce non‑performing loans.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in sales, marketing, business development and credit management within the financial services sector.
• Strong knowledge of credit analysis, risk assessment and financial products.
• Proven track record of achieving business development targets.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship‑building skills.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to make data‑driven decisions.
