Area Sales Supervisor – Yola

About the role

We are looking for an Area Sales Supervisor to lead a team of Sales Representatives in Yola and surrounding territories. The role focuses on achieving sales and gross profit targets for BIC’s product portfolio while expanding distribution and market presence.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver sales and GP targets for assigned territory and categories.
• Coach, monitor and evaluate Sales Representatives through field visits and performance reviews.
• Design and optimise route plans to maximise outlet coverage.
• Drive numeric and weighted distribution, identify new sales opportunities and acquire new outlets.
• Maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and external customers, including wholesalers and distributors.
• Oversee promotion execution, merchandising, visibility and new product launches.
• Ensure stock availability, order generation, delivery follow‑up and cash collection.
• Track competitor pricing and market activities, providing insights to the Regional Sales Manager.
• Conduct regular territory performance reviews and implement corrective actions.

Required profile

• Previous experience in FMCG sales or business development.
• Proven track record of leading a team of sales representatives and meeting sales, distribution and coverage targets.
• Strong understanding of territory management, route planning and distributor/wholesaler management.
• Excellent commercial, negotiation and analytical abilities.
• Self‑driven, organised and comfortable working independently in a field‑based environment.
• Willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
