Area Sales Manager – Milling Solutions

About the role

Bühler Group is seeking an Area Sales Manager for Milling Solutions to expand market presence across Ghana, Liberia, Nigeria, Sierra Leone and The Gambia. The role involves developing regional sales strategies, managing the full sales cycle, and delivering value‑driven milling solutions to customers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the regional sales strategy for Bühler’s Milling Solutions across the assigned West African markets.
• Manage the full sales cycle from business development and proposal preparation to contract negotiation, closure and hand‑over.
• Identify new business opportunities, grow strategic accounts and maintain a sustainable sales pipeline.
• Prepare proposals, tenders, commercial offers and business cases in collaboration with internal teams.
• Build and maintain strong customer and stakeholder relationships while monitoring market and competitor trends.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Food Technology, Milling Science, Business or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in sales, business development or key‑account management within industrial equipment, food or grain processing.
• Proven success in solution selling, strategic account management and contract negotiation.
• Fluent in English; French or regional language skills are an advantage.
• Willingness to travel frequently across West Africa.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM tools.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office.
