Area Sales Manager – Ibadan, Oyo State

About the role

Our client, a reputable player in the FMCG sector, is seeking a results‑driven Area Sales Manager to oversee and drive sales operations across Ibadan, Oyo State. The role involves achieving sales targets, expanding market presence and managing distributor and channel relationships within the assigned territory.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and increase sales of the company’s products across Ibadan, Oyo State.
• Achieve sales targets and performance goals for designated areas.
• Establish, maintain, and expand the customer base including distributors, sub‑dealers, and wholesalers.
• Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive market penetration.
• Monitor, evaluate, and motivate the sales team to meet and exceed targets.
• Conduct regular market visits to assess performance and identify growth opportunities.
• Collect customer feedback and market intelligence to support business decisions.
• Build and maintain strong partnerships with key distributors to ensure smooth business operations.
• Stay updated on market trends, competitor activities, and product developments.
• Prepare and submit periodic sales and performance reports.

Required profile

• HND or BSc in Marketing, Business Administration or a related field.
• 4–7 years of sales and marketing experience in the FMCG industry.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Strong organisational, planning and independent working abilities.
• Excellent sales, negotiation and customer service capabilities.
• Ability to manage multiple distribution channels and travel within Ibadan and surrounding areas.
