Area Phone Business Manager – Gombe

About the role

The Area Phone Business Manager will lead Pay‑Go phone sales and oversee a network of commission‑based agents in Gombe State. You will translate Sun King’s phone‑business strategy into on‑the‑ground results, driving recruitment, training, sales performance and inventory discipline in a fast‑moving device‑financing market.

Key responsibilities

• Agent acquisition & development – recruit, onboard and train new agents, ensure Litmos Phase 1 certification, run bi‑weekly coaching meetings and enforce branding standards.
• Sales & productivity – achieve monthly unit targets, monitor agent productivity, apply micro‑incentives and coordinate field activations with marketing.
• Portfolio & collections – maintain sales quality, coach agents on customer onboarding, follow up on defaults, manage FPD and PAR30 metrics and collaborate with credit and operations to limit repossessions.
• Agent engagement & retention – conduct weekly field visits, ride‑alongs and coaching sessions, track exit reasons, recognise top performers and reactivate inactive agents.
• Inventory & compliance – keep agent stock within variance tolerance, perform monthly audits, reconcile stock movements and submit accurate weekly reports.
• Reporting – deliver timely weekly reports, ensure full compliance with Sun King policies and uphold zero tolerance for unethical practices.

Required profile

• HND or BSc in a business‑related discipline.
• At least 2 years of hands‑on field sales experience, preferably in Pay‑Go or device‑financing environments.
• Strong knowledge of the assigned territory, trade routes and local market dynamics.
• Proven ability to influence, coach and retain a network of commission‑based agents.
