About the role
We are seeking an Accounts Officer to manage and streamline financial transactions for Africa Delivery Technologies Limited (Kwik). The role involves handling receipts, payments, invoicing, and supporting month‑end closing activities within a fast‑moving shipping and logistics environment.
Key responsibilities
- Process and record customer receipts, vendor payments, staff reimbursements and other financial transactions accurately and promptly.
- Prepare customer invoices, monitor outstanding receivables and follow up on payments.
- Compute, verify and process weekly payouts to riders, drivers and business partners within approved timelines.
- Review invoices, payment requests and supporting documents, investigating unusual charges or discrepancies.
- Manage petty cash disbursements, maintain supporting records and reconcile balances regularly.
- Maintain accurate accounts payable and receivable records, ensuring proper credit applications.
- Perform bank, ledger, vendor and partner payout reconciliations and resolve identified discrepancies.
- Support month‑end closing by preparing schedules, reconciling balances and confirming record accuracy.
- Prepare schedules for tax payments and statutory remittances and liaise with LIRS and FIRS as required.
- Maintain updated vendor files, inventory records and the fixed asset register, providing documentation for audits.
Required profile
- HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related field.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in accounting, finance or a similar role.
- Practical experience in accounts payable and receivable, invoicing, reconciliations, petty cash and financial reporting.
- Good knowledge of Nigerian taxation, statutory remittances and basic accounting principles.
- Strong numerical, analytical, reconciliation and problem‑solving abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet strict payment and reporting deadlines.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Experience using accounting software, ERP systems or other financial platforms.
