Accountant – Manufacturing Finance

About the role

Dayeente Industries Limited, a manufacturing company specialising in nylon, polythene packaging and plastic recycling, is seeking a competent, detail‑oriented and experienced Accountant to join its Finance and Accounts Department. The successful candidate will oversee financial transactions, maintain accurate accounting records, monitor production‑related expenditure and ensure financial accountability across the company's operations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and prepare daily, weekly and monthly financial reports.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger transactions.
• Prepare profit and loss statements, balance sheets and cash flow reports.
• Conduct bank reconciliations and monitor company expenditure.
• Monitor raw material purchases, production expenses and operational costs.
• Calculate production costs and analyse manufacturing profitability.
• Reconcile inventory records with financial transactions.
• Prepare monthly staff payroll, overtime payments and approved deductions.
• Maintain accurate payment vouchers, sales registers and financial documentation.
• Ensure compliance with Nigerian tax regulations and accounting standards.
• Support financial audits and maintain audit‑ready documentation.

Required profile

• HND or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing company is an advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets and accounting software.
• Knowledge of Nigerian taxation, payroll administration and financial reporting.
• ICAN or ACCA qualification, or progress towards certification, is an advantage.
• High standards of integrity, confidentiality and professional accountability.
• Ability to work independently and meet strict reporting deadlines.
