About the role

Aurora Solar is seeking an entry‑level Accountant to support its finance team in Lagos. The role involves handling daily financial transactions, managing accounts payable and receivable, and assisting with month‑end closing.

Key responsibilities

• Data Entry: Record daily financial transactions and post journal entries in the accounting system.
• Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process supplier invoices, track customer payments, and follow up on outstanding receivables.
• Inventory Tracking: Assist in monitoring stock levels of solar panels, inverters, and components.
• Bank Reconciliation: Perform regular bank and cash reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
• Tax Documentation: Prepare schedules for withholding tax (WHT) and value‑added tax (VAT) filings.
• Administrative Support: Assist the Senior Accountant with month‑end closing procedures and payroll preparation.

Required profile

• OND, HND, or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• 1–2 years of experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role.
• Strong numerical accuracy, organizational skills, honesty, and ability to meet deadlines.
