Accountant

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to manage our financial records, ensure compliance with Nigerian tax regulations, and support budgeting and reporting for large‑scale engineering projects.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate ledgers, journals, reconciliations and prepare financial statements in line with regulatory requirements.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely invoicing and payments.
• Process monthly payroll, employee expense reimbursements and ensure payroll accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with Nigerian tax laws (VAT, PAYE, WHT, corporate tax) and handle related filings.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and prepare annual/quarterly management reports.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities and regulatory agencies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of accounting/finance experience, preferably in oil & gas or EPC sector.
• Professional certification such as ICAN or ACCA.
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and financial regulations.
