About the role
We are seeking a diligent Accountant to join our finance team in Lagos, supporting the mining, energy and metals operations with accurate financial reporting and compliance.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Maintain accurate general ledger records
- Process payments, receipts, invoices, and journal entries
- Perform bank reconciliations
- Manage accounts payable and receivable
- Prepare budgets, cash‑flow forecasts, and management reports
- File statutory returns including VAT, WHT, PAYE, and Companies Income Tax
- Ensure compliance with FIRS, LIRS, PenCom, NSITF, and ITF requirements
- Coordinate internal and external audits
- Support payroll processing and statutory remittances
- Maintain fixed asset and inventory records
- Safeguard financial documents through proper filing
Required profile
- Minimum of 3 years of experience
- Minimum of an HND in a related field
