About the role
We are seeking an Accountant to oversee all financial operations for our pharmacy business within the hospitality sector in Lagos. The role involves maintaining accurate records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records and accounting documentation, including daily transaction entries.
- Prepare and review financial reports and statements on a regular basis.
- Monitor income, expenses, payments and reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Handle inventory valuation and control, tracking cost of goods sold, shrinkage, wastage and expired‑drug write‑offs.
- Reconcile insurance and third‑party billing claims with reimbursements, following up on discrepancies or denied claims.
- Ensure regulatory compliance with tax authorities, health regulators and controlled‑substance reporting requirements.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree (BSc) in Accounting, Finance or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar accounting role, preferably within pharmacy or hospitality environments.
