Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a diligent Accountant to join our finance team in Lagos. This entry‑level position offers the opportunity to develop core accounting skills while supporting the financial operations of a growing real‑estate company.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate records of income, expenses, payments and other financial transactions.
• Perform daily bookkeeping, bank reconciliations and prepare invoices, receipts and payment vouchers.
• Track client payments, outstanding balances and company expenses.
• Assist with payroll preparation and expense management.
• Prepare periodic financial reports, budget updates and support tax documentation.
• Maintain organized physical and electronic financial records.
• Provide assistance to management, auditors and external accountants as required.

Required profile

• Recent NYSC member or graduate with an HND or degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• Understanding of bookkeeping, reconciliations, payroll, financial reporting and expense tracking.
• Ability to handle confidential financial information with accuracy.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Google Sheets.
• Familiarity with accounting software.
• Basic knowledge of Nigerian tax or statutory requirements (advantageous).
