Accountant

About the role

We are seeking an Accountant to join our real‑estate branch in Port Harcourt. The role will support the financial health of the branch by handling day‑to‑day accounting tasks and providing insights to senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Record and maintain accurate financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and general ledger entries.
• Reconcile bank statements and accounts to ensure completeness and accuracy.
• Prepare financial statements, reports and budgets that reflect the branch’s performance.
• Analyse financial data to identify cost‑saving opportunities and support revenue growth.
• Manage cash flow, monitor expenses and produce forecasts for planning.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations and company policies.
• Collaborate with operations, sales and finance teams to provide financial insights.
• Assist with audits, tax filings and other regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting or branch‑level finance operations.
• Strong understanding of financial compliance and reporting standards.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
