Accountant – Full‑time (Rivers & Abuja)

About the role

We are seeking a diligent Accountant to join our finance team, supporting operations in Rivers and Abuja. The role involves managing the full accounting cycle, preparing budgets, and ensuring accurate financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all accounting transactions and maintain accurate records.
• Prepare budget forecasts and publish timely financial statements.
• Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings.
• Reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
• Ensure timely bank payments and compute taxes.
• Prepare tax returns and manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements.
• Report on the company’s financial health and liquidity.
• Audit financial transactions and documents.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial data and perform database backups when required.
• Comply with financial policies, regulations and accounting standards.

Required profile

• B.Sc. in Accounting, Banking or Finance.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting regulations, GAAP and financial procedures.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical abilities.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with FreshBooks and QuickBooks.
• Advanced MS Excel skills, including VLOOKUP and pivot tables.
• Proficiency with general ledger functions.

What we offer

• Competitive monthly salary between NGN 150,000 and NGN 200,000.
• Full‑time permanent position.
