Accountant – Full‑time in Lagos

About the role

Power Ark LTD is looking for an experienced Accountant to manage daily accounting and bookkeeping activities for its operations in Lagos. The role involves handling multi‑currency transactions, payroll and tax compliance for a mining and energy business.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting and bookkeeping, record customer payments, expenses, petty cash and bank transactions.
• Prepare bank reconciliations, payroll, management accounts and monthly financial reports.
• Maintain accurate receivables, payables and multi‑currency transaction records.
• Establish accounting procedures, reporting systems and internal controls.
• Work with the tax consultant on tax computations, filings and compliance.

Required profile

• B.Sc. or HND in Accounting.
• Minimum four years of professional accounting experience, preferably in an established company.
• Good knowledge of payroll, taxation, bookkeeping, bank reconciliation and financial reporting.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of the accounting function.
• ICAN certification or active pursuit of a professional qualification is an advantage.
