Accountant – Full-time

About the role

We are seeking a diligent Accountant to join our finance team in Lagos. The role involves managing the company’s financial records, ensuring compliance, and supporting budgeting and reporting activities.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate ledgers, process accounts payable and receivable, and reconcile bank statements regularly.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports and assist in budget preparation and forecasting.
• Handle statutory filings such as VAT, PAYE, WHT and support internal and external audits.
• Monitor cash flow, manage fixed‑asset registers and depreciation, and verify payroll information.
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies while ensuring confidentiality of financial data.

Required profile

• Minimum HND in Accounting, Finance or related field with at least 3 years of proven accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, taxation and ability to work independently to meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, SAP, Tally or other ERP systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and general Microsoft Office skills.
