Accountant – Financial Reporting & Payroll

About the role

Kenex Konsults International is seeking a diligent Accountant to join its finance team in Port Harcourt. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting payroll, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions, receipts, payments, invoices, and expenses.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Reconcile bank statements and company accounts regularly.
• Monitor accounts payable and receivable, prepare invoices, and follow up on outstanding payments.
• Assist with payroll preparation, statutory deductions, and tax compliance.
• Prepare budgets, cash‑flow reports, and financial forecasts as needed.
• Support the Finance Manager with financial analysis and decision‑making.

Required profile

• Minimum HND in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Professional qualification (ICAN, ACCA, ANAN) is an advantage.
• At least 2 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Excellent numerical, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
