Accountant – Financial Reporting & Loan Accounting

About the role

Generation Capital Limited is seeking an experienced Accountant to lead financial reporting and loan accounting functions. You will ensure accurate preparation of statements, manage ledger activities and support strategic financial planning.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and present accurate financial statements and management reports.
• Supervise general ledger entries, ensuring proper recording and reconciliation.
• Lead loan accounting processes, including disbursements, repayments, interest recognition and portfolio tracking.
• Conduct periodic financial audits and enforce internal controls.
• Prepare and submit statutory and regulatory reports on time.
• Monitor and reconcile income, customer repayments and account balances.
• Develop budgets, forecasts and perform variance analysis.
• Track portfolio performance and provide risk and opportunity insights.
• Coordinate internal weekly and monthly activity reports.
• Mentor junior accounting staff and liaise with external auditors and regulators.
• Identify process improvement and cost‑efficiency opportunities.

Required profile

• BSc degree (or equivalent).
• Minimum 4 years of relevant accounting experience.
