Accountant – Financial Reporting & Compliance

About the role

The Accountant will manage daily accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, and maintain compliance with SEC regulations for Sthenic Finance & Advisory Ltd in Lagos. You will play a key role in supporting the company’s financial health and strategic growth.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting operations, financial reporting, and reconciliations.
• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Monitor and maintain general ledger accounts, budgets, and cash flow.
• Handle tax filings, audits, and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Support internal controls, risk management, and compliance processes.
• Oversee payroll processing, vendor payments, and expense management.
• Liaise with external auditors, regulators, and financial institutions.
• Provide strategic financial insights to support business growth and operational efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years accounting experience in an SEC‑regulated company.
• Strong understanding of SEC compliance, financial regulations, and corporate governance.
• High level of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and reporting abilities.

• Proficiency in accounting software.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
