About the role
We are looking for a diligent Accountant to join our finance team in Port Harcourt. The role involves preparing accurate financial statements, ensuring tax compliance and supporting both internal and external audit processes. This is an entry‑level, full‑time position offering exposure to a broad range of accounting functions.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare, analyze and maintain financial statements, general ledgers and account reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal tax regulations and manage timely tax filings.
- Conduct internal financial audits and assist external auditors during annual reviews.
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing and expense reports.
- Analyze financial trends, track budgets and provide revenue and expenditure forecasts to management.
Required profile
- Minimum qualification of HND in a relevant field.
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar accounting role.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines.
