Accountant – Finance & Procurement (Hybrid)

About the role

The Open Veil Charitable Foundation is seeking a detail‑oriented Accountant to manage both financial and procurement functions for its farm operations. This hybrid position combines daily transaction recording, reporting, and vendor management within a charitable agricultural environment.

Key responsibilities

• Record and maintain daily financial transactions, including income, expenses, and petty cash.
• Prepare weekly and monthly financial reports for management review.
• Reconcile cash and bank statements, investigating any discrepancies promptly.
• Manage procurement processes: source vendors, obtain quotations, issue purchase orders, and track deliveries.
• Maintain accurate supplier and inventory records, reconciling purchases with invoices and receipts.
• Support budget preparation, monitor expenditures, and assist with internal audits.

Required profile

• HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field (OND with strong experience also considered).
• 1‑2 years of relevant accounting, bookkeeping or financial administration experience.
• Experience handling financial records, reconciliations, expense tracking and vendor management.
• High level of integrity, confidentiality and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and meet reporting deadlines.
