About the role
We are looking for an entry‑level Accountant to join Chamy Eye Clinic in Lagos. The role involves handling day‑to‑day financial transactions and supporting the finance team in preparing key reports.
Key responsibilities
- Record daily financial transactions, journal entries, and ledger postings in line with GAAP/IFRS.
- Prepare Balance Sheets, Income Statements and Cash Flow Statements.
- Reconcile accounts, process accruals and pre‑payments, and close books at period end.
- Track operational expenses, analyse cost structures and provide data to improve profitability.
- Monitor working capital, cash inflows and outflows to ensure liquidity for operations.
Required profile
- Minimum qualification of OND.
- At least 1 year of experience in a similar accounting role.
Required skills
- Knowledge of GAAP and IFRS accounting standards.
- Ability to prepare financial statements and perform reconciliations.
