Accountant / Admin Manager

About the role

ZICS, a metal fabrication and furniture manufacturer in Ibadan, Nigeria, is seeking an experienced Accountant / Admin Manager to lead day‑to‑day financial and administrative operations. The role combines rigorous accounting responsibilities with proactive administrative leadership to help achieve the company’s monthly, quarterly and annual goals.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee accounting and budgeting functions, ensuring timely internal and external financial reporting.
• Manage the general ledger, monthly closings, account reconciliations and cash‑flow monitoring.
• Process accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, fixed assets, depreciation and amortisation.
• Lead the annual external audit and act as primary liaison with auditors.
• Develop and deliver financial training and maintain standard and ad‑hoc financial reports.
• Assist in grant proposal development and reporting to granting agencies.
• Supervise staff benefits, including PTO, health, dental and life insurance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Economics or a related field.
• Proven experience in fund accounting, cash‑flow management and use of Excel; experience with additional accounting software is a plus.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to manage and develop direct and indirect reports.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience with accounting software (e.g., ERP systems).
• Knowledge of budgeting and financial reporting tools.
