Account Officer

About the role

Skipper Eye‑Q Hospital is looking for an Account Officer to manage the financial relationships with referral doctors, clinics and health maintenance organisations. The role combines accounting, invoicing and data analysis to ensure accurate commission payments and timely revenue collection.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update records of referral partners, including doctors, clinics and HMOs.
• Calculate, verify and process commission or referral fee payments.
• Manage invoicing for referred patients and follow up on outstanding payments.
• Keep the CRM database current, tracking patient volume per source.
• Reconcile referral transactions with the general ledger and produce weekly/monthly reports on trends and revenue.
• Serve as the primary contact for billing or payment queries from referral partners.
• Collaborate with marketing to monitor the performance of promotional campaigns aimed at referring physicians.

Required profile

• Minimum HND in Accounting; fresh graduates are welcome.
• Strong analytical ability to interpret referral data and manage complex financial records.
• Excellent communication skills for building relationships with external doctors and partners.
• Meticulous attention to detail in invoicing and payment recording.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
• Accounting software such as SAP, Sage 50 (Peachtree) or QuickBooks.
• Hospital Information Systems (HIS) or similar healthcare finance platforms.
