Account Officer

About the role

We are looking for an Account Officer to join Believe Nigeria Limited in Port Harcourt. The role supports the finance team by maintaining accurate records, processing invoices and payroll, and providing financial insights for projects and new business.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain precise financial records, general ledgers and cash controls.
• Issue client invoices promptly and track receivables to avoid payment delays.
• Prepare and file monthly corporate taxes (VAT, WHT, PAYE) and manage staff payroll.
• Monitor project expenses against budgets, identify cost‑saving opportunities and protect profit margins.
• Assist in financial analysis, cost breakdowns and margin inputs for commercial bids.
• Support forecasting and strategic planning through financial models and revenue projections.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of relevant accounting experience.
• HND in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage or Zoho.
• Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
