Account Manager – Taste Solutions

About the role

IFF is seeking a talented Account Manager to drive sustainable business growth and strengthen strategic customer partnerships across West Africa. Based in Lagos, you will work closely with customers and cross‑functional teams to translate market opportunities into commercial success.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver annual sales, profitability and volume targets for assigned accounts and territories.
• Develop and execute strategic account plans aligned with regional business objectives.
• Identify and secure new business opportunities while expanding existing partnerships.
• Maintain a healthy opportunity pipeline using Salesforce and lead commercial negotiations.
• Partner with Technical, R&D, Product Development, Operations, Regulatory and Customer Experience teams to deliver winning solutions.
• Support forecasting, demand planning, business reviews and manage customer profitability, receivables and budgeting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Food Science, Chemistry, Biotechnology or related field.
• 5‑8 years of B2B sales and account management experience in food ingredients, flavors, fragrances, nutrition or related industries.
• Proven success managing strategic accounts and complex sales cycles across multiple West African markets.
• Strong commercial, negotiation and stakeholder‑management skills with a customer‑focused mindset.
• Willingness to travel frequently (40‑60%) across the region.

Required skills

• Advanced Salesforce (SFDC) and pipeline management.
