Accident & Investigation Supervisor – Healthcare Safety

About the role

The Accident & Investigation Supervisor will lead the safety and incident investigation function within the African Medical Centre of Excellence in Abuja. Reporting to the Operations Directorate, you will ensure thorough, unbiased investigations and foster a proactive safety culture across all medical facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and continuously improve a comprehensive accident and incident investigation program aligned with regulatory standards.
• Lead on‑site response to accidents, secure evidence, conduct witness interviews, and document findings with photos, videos and detailed notes.
• Analyse collected evidence using root‑cause and fault‑tree techniques to identify underlying factors and recommend corrective actions.
• Monitor the execution and effectiveness of corrective measures, tracking impact on safety performance.
• Deliver safety training, promote accident‑prevention initiatives and collaborate with other departments to mitigate hazards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; professional safety certification (e.g., Certified Safety Professional, NEBOSH) is highly desirable.
• Minimum five years of experience in security camera monitoring or a related safety role, preferably within a healthcare environment.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and report‑writing abilities, with a meticulous attention to detail.
