Voice AI Research Participant – Remote (East & West Africa)

About the role

We are looking for native English speakers in East and West Africa to help evaluate a voice‑assistant AI by making real‑world phone calls. This short‑term remote contract involves a few calls each week and provides direct feedback to improve the technology.

Key responsibilities

• Make five phone calls to the voice assistant over roughly one week.
• Ask personal, practical questions about health, work, learning, etc.
• Ensure each call lasts 5–15 minutes and ends naturally.
• Complete a brief survey after each call to share your experience.
• Provide additional feedback to help refine the assistant’s performance.

Required profile

• 18 years or older and residing in Rwanda, Kenya, Ethiopia, Ghana, or Nigeria.
• Comfortable speaking English.
• Willing to consent to call recording for evaluation.
• Preferably using a feature phone or a smartphone with limited or no data plan.
• No prior experience with AI assistants required.
• Open to participants of any gender from rural or urban areas.

Required skills

What we offer

• Compensation of $10–$20 per hour, paid for actual time spent on calls and surveys.
• All call costs covered – participants incur no expense.
• Flexible schedule: 2–3 hours per week, remote work.
