About the role

Mshel Homes Limited is looking for a meticulous and creative Video Editor to join its production team in Lagos. The role focuses on delivering seamless, “invisible” editing that keeps audiences immersed in the story while upholding the company’s brand standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manipulate and edit footage to create natural, immersive storytelling where the editing remains unnoticed.
• Review shooting scripts and raw material to develop shot decision lists that support continuity.
• Trim, assemble, and refine footage from rough cuts to polished final deliverables.
• Synchronize music, dialogue, sound effects, and graphics; perform color correction and apply visual effects as needed.
• Interpret detailed creative briefs and collaborate with stakeholders throughout production and post‑production.
• Adapt and repurpose video content for the company’s website and social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube).
• Conduct quality control checks on audio, visual, and narrative flow to ensure brand consistency.
• Stay updated on new editing technologies, software updates, and industry best practices.
• Organize and maintain project files, raw footage, and archives for easy retrieval.
