Treasury Officer

About the role

The Treasury Officer will manage daily treasury operations, ensuring accurate payment processing, cash monitoring and bank reconciliations. This role supports the Treasury Accountant in maintaining robust financial controls and timely cash flow reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Process and verify all approved payments (supplier invoices, advances, reimbursements, statutory remittances) through the Odoo Procure‑to‑Pay workflow, ensuring full documentation and beneficiary confirmation.
• Monitor daily cash balances, post balances each morning, prepare cash position reports and flag potential shortfalls for the Treasury Accountant.
• Perform daily bank reconciliations across all company accounts, investigate discrepancies, and maintain organized digital and physical records for audit readiness.
• Liaise with banks on operational matters, maintain up‑to‑date account mandates, support foreign currency transactions and track exchange rates as directed.

Required profile

• OND in Accounting, Finance, Banking & Finance, Economics or a related discipline.
• 2–4 years of experience in treasury operations, payment processing, bank reconciliation and cash position reporting.
• Good understanding of banking operations, financial controls and experience working with ERP systems.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Odoo ERP (or similar accounting ERP systems).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and bank reconciliation templates.
• Experience with Sage or QuickBooks accounting software.
