Team Lead – Electrical Engineering Projects

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Team Lead to drive the delivery of large‑scale electrical engineering projects across Nigeria. You will own end‑to‑end project execution, ensuring timelines, budgets and quality standards are met while providing strategic leadership to a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute, monitor and close projects with budgets up to billions of naira.
• Define project roadmaps, KPIs and governance frameworks aligned with business goals.
• Manage project budgets, cost forecasts, cash flow and value‑engineering activities.
• Engage C‑suite executives, clients, contractors, regulators and community stakeholders.
• Identify risks, implement mitigation plans and ensure HSE, regulatory and contractual compliance.
• Lead cross‑functional teams of 15+ members, including project managers, engineers, QS, procurement and external vendors.
• Prepare executive dashboards, board‑level updates and post‑project reviews.
• Oversee RFPs, negotiations and performance management for major EPC/turnkey contracts.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business or related field (Master’s/MBA a plus).
• PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner or equivalent certification.
• 10+ years of progressive project management experience, with at least 5 years in senior leadership.
• Proven delivery of at least one project valued at ₦2 billion or more.
• Experience in infrastructure, oil & gas, real estate development, telecom or energy sectors.
