Tailor – Garment Construction & Alterations

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Tailor to join our team in Marina, Lagos. The role involves taking precise measurements, constructing, altering and repairing a variety of garments while delivering high‑quality finishes for our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Take accurate customer measurements and assist with fittings.
• Construct, alter and repair clothing items such as suits, dresses and trousers using sewing machines and hand‑stitching.
• Read and interpret patterns, designs and modification requests.
• Select appropriate threads, fabrics, linings and accessories for each job.
• Maintain sewing equipment, tools and a clean, safe workstation.
• Ensure high‑quality finishings, seam precision and attention to detail on all garments.

Required profile

• Minimum qualification of OND.
• At least 2 years of proven experience as a Tailor or Seamstress.
• Strong understanding of garment construction, fabric types and fitting techniques.
• Excellent hand‑eye coordination, attention to detail and customer service skills.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
• Highly proficient in suit tailoring, including fitting, lining and finishing.
