Student Counsellor - Study Abroad

About the role

An experienced, student-focused Student Counsellor is sought for the Kano branch. The counsellor gives professional guidance to prospective students, manages applications and helps meet enrolment targets while keeping high counselling and ethical standards.

Key responsibilities

• Counsel prospective students on study-abroad options, including course selection, institutions and destinations.
• Manage the full admissions process: applications, documentation, offer follow-up and visa support.
• Convert leads into successful enrolments in line with assigned targets.
• Maintain accurate student records and reports using CRM and internal systems.
• Build strong relationships with students, parents and partner institutions.
• Take part in outreach, events and marketing initiatives as required.
• Ensure compliance with institutional, visa and company policies, and give timely updates to students.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Sciences, Business or a related field from a reputable university.
• At least 2 years' experience as a Student Counsellor or Admissions Officer, preferably in international education or study abroad, or in a customer service and sales-driven environment.
• Knowledge of international admissions processes and visa requirements.
• Experience with UK, Canada, Europe or other major study destinations is an advantage.

• Performance-based bonuses of USD 2,000 to 10,000 in addition to monthly pay.
