About the role
The Solar Sales Officer will drive revenue growth for a renewable‑energy solutions provider by identifying new business opportunities, managing a network of sales agents, and delivering tailored solar solutions to residential, SME and corporate clients in Lagos.
Key responsibilities
- Generate leads through cold calling, networking, referrals and social‑media outreach, maintaining a healthy pipeline of qualified prospects.
- Recruit, train, retain and manage sales agents, setting clear productivity targets and monitoring performance.
- Consult clients on energy load, budget and recommend appropriate Solaflix solutions (inverter, battery, full system, PPA or Solar‑as‑a‑Service) with compelling demonstrations.
- Negotiate pricing and contract terms, address concerns and close sales to meet or exceed quotas, then hand over projects to the technical team.
- Maintain long‑term relationships with existing customers to drive repeat purchases, service contracts, referrals and upsell opportunities.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity and policy shifts, feeding insights to the Head of Sales.
- Log all interactions, track the pipeline and produce weekly/monthly sales reports using the company’s CRM platform.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 2–4 years of proven B2B or B2C sales experience with a record of meeting targets.
- Experience in solar, power, FMCG, financial services or other field‑sales‑heavy industries.
- Demonstrated ability to build and manage a sales team or agent network.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, adaptable to homeowners, SME owners or corporate procurement managers.
- Self‑motivated, target‑driven, resilient and comfortable with field work and site visits in Lagos.
- Strong CRM hygiene and a genuine commitment to the company’s clean‑energy mission.
