Site Engineer – Construction Supervision

About the role

CDL is seeking a proactive Site Engineer to oversee daily construction activities on high‑rise residential and commercial projects in Lagos. You will ensure that work aligns with design specifications, safety standards, and project timelines.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct daily visual inspections, concrete slump and strength tests, and verify rebar placement against drawings.
• Supervise main contractors, sub‑contractors and on‑site labor, monitoring productivity and resolving logistical issues.
• Prepare Material Requisition Slips, manage inventory, track wastage and prevent theft or degradation.
• Maintain daily site logs, review subcontractor bills, and compile weekly progress reports for senior management.
• Enforce PPE use, lead toolbox talks and uphold a zero‑tolerance safety environment in line with local building regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or Construction Management.
• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on site supervision on high‑rise or large‑scale real‑estate developments.
• Strong knowledge of soil mechanics, structural reinforcement, concrete technology and Nigerian building codes.
