Senior Well Engineer & Drilling Superintendent

About the role

The Senior Well Engineer / Drilling Superintendent will lead safe, cost‑effective and technically compliant execution of well delivery and completion projects for Nestoil Plc in Warri, Delta. This senior position oversees both offshore and onshore drilling activities, ensuring alignment with well programs and industry best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise drilling and completion operations, guaranteeing compliance with well programs and safety standards.
• Identify and resolve challenges during drilling to minimise non‑productive time (NPT) and recommend operational changes to the contractor Toolpusher.
• Maintain technical integrity of the wellbore throughout its lifecycle.
• Review and validate well‑engineering designs, drilling trajectories, casing and cementing programs prepared by Well Engineers.
• Deliver accurate well delivery while driving cost efficiency, safety and NPT reduction.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of technical and operational experience in well engineering and drilling operations.
• IWCF Level 4 certification (Well Services/Completions).
• Valid BOSIET/HUET certifications and H2S safety training.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in a high‑risk oil & gas environment.
